ECM Slim PID Espresso Machine

Big things indeed come in small packages; the Mechanika Slim PID sports a massive 2.2-liter stainless steel heat-exchange boiler with 1.6 bar steam pressure at its high end to produce a luscious microfoam for lattes. The Slim PID adds a PID with a shot timer and two additional features to offer the home barista more control of the brewing process: 3-Way Temperature Switch: The middle default position (0)—199-204F The lower position (I)—194-199F The higher position (II)—204-210F *Approximate temperature at the group head during extraction Automatic Pre-Infusion Pre-infusion helps mitigate channeling issues and can help promote even extraction. After lifting the brew lever, the Slim PID releases a small amount of water for several seconds at low pressure to saturate the puck, pauses, and then kicks on for full pressure. Who is it for? Those that demand a lot from their espresso machine. You want your daily ritual to be a tactile, mechanical experience that evokes the romantic history of espresso. It also needs to be built well enough to last for years or decades to come. Sharing this experience with friends and family is just as important, so you want a machine that can produce latte after americano for your next dinner party. Why do we carry it? The Mechanika Slim PID is the perfect combination of brains, brawn, and beauty. No other heat exchanger on the market offers as many features as this one, combined with its small size and build quality. For those who demand a lot from their machine, desire a tactile daily ritual, and want a mechanical experience that evokes the romantic history of espresso, the Mechanika Slim PID extends this tradition in spades.
